PGS Worldwide is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer - Computer Systems Specialist to oversee and optimize the computer systems, networks, and IT infrastructure supporting the production floor. This is a mission-critical role that bridges IT and manufacturing operations, ensuring technical stability, security, and productivity across teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Computer Systems & Network Management
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot production floor IT systems, infrastructure, and special networks
  • Ensure system stability, security, and efficiency for hardware and software supporting production
  • Collaborate with corporate IT to align local systems with enterprise policies

2. Production Support & Training
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing staff using production-related systems
  • Maintain system documentation, user manuals, and technical reference guides
  • Train personnel on proper use of software and systems

3. Manufacturing Operations Integration
  • Align IT systems with manufacturing goals and operations
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities through technology integration
  • Monitor and support real-time data systems tied to production performance

4. Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures on all production-facing systems
  • Coordinate with IT to implement cybersecurity safeguards and manage access control

5. Project Management
  • Lead and support projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and implementations
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within scope

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on IT systems and infrastructure

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiar with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and implementation
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex system issues

Soft Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
