Job Description
Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist
Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Specialty: Home Health
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 17:00)
Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience
License: Must have a current license
Certifications: CPR, BLS
Must-Have: Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance
Description:
Home visits are required as part of the therapy services.
Periodic office meetings will be conducted.
The average number of patients seen per day is 5-6.
Contractors will be assigned between 5-10 patients daily, equating to roughly 6-8 productivity points.
Points are assigned based on type of visit and activities performed, including documentation and travel.
If there is a situation where the contractor is unable to meet financial needs due to low patient census, they should discuss floating to another clinic for additional hours.
Types of cases include Start of Care and Follow Ups.
No first-time travelers will be accepted; recent Home Health experience is required.
Weekend requirements may vary; candidates should inquire during the interview.
On-call requirements also vary by location and should be discussed with management.
Travel within a 75-mile radius from the home clinic is required.
Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate.
The contractor is compensated for travel from patient home to patient home.
The commute to and from the first and last patient is not billable.
All local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Pending licenses are not accepted unless the license is expected to be obtained shortly.
No weekends are required.
No on-call duties are expected.
This position will cover a defined territory.
The need for a contractor arises from growth requirements in the area.
Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment.
Delayed or incomplete documentation that impacts billing or patient care will be addressed.
There are no guaranteed hours with this contract.
The contractor must meet the weekly productivity expectation of 30 points, which equates to approximately 40 hours of work each week.
Orientation hours are not required.
