Role and Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

Samsung Electronic America's DA Supply Chain team is responsible for ensuring product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Customers, Sales and Marketing Teams, and HQ and local Manufacturing Facilities via spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and tools. The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Forecasting is responsible for managing a range of products and/or Accounts and will work with a team of 4-5 within the department.

The Supply Chain Sr. Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply-related issues related to their products/Accounts at the Sales Subsidiary. They will also interact closely with Customers and internal teams, including Executive Management. Travel may be requested to visit Samsung Customers and Partners.

  • Hold consensus Calls with Sales, Marketing, and GOC
  • PSI Demand Planning & Revenue Simulations
  • Sell-thru forecasting and Inventory Simulation
  • Report Creation and Distribution
  • Department Management
  • Publish summaries and reports for distribution with Samsung Offices and/or with Customers


Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
  • Minimum 7-10 years' work experience in relevant field
  • Demand Planning (PSI) Forecasting experience is necessary
  • Minimum 3-5 years People Management experience


Necessary Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.
  • Must be comfortable presenting to and building consensus with Customers at the Executive level
  • Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural Global (Fortune 500) environment
  • Bilingual English/Korean in a Professional setting (PowerPoints, Weekly Reports) will be beneficial
  • Must be available to work outside of standard work hours and on weekends as required
