POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for entry and calculation of accounting and financial information for Corporate. The primary responsibilities including ensuring accurate financial reporting, drafting and posting monthly closing entries, draft and assistance in review of monthly financial statements during the close process, and monthly account reconciliations. The position will be responsible, under the direct supervision of the Assistant Controller, for accurate and timely financial reporting.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements Including Analytical Review
- Recording of journal entries required to reflect monthly activity
- Completion of month-end close process to ensure accuracy of accounting records
- Preparation of workpapers supporting the monthly close process and month-end balances
- Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of monthly account reconciliations
- Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of all bank reconciliations
- Balance inter-company balances with MCFA, MLNA, etc.
- Preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements for all of EQD
- Responsible for managing the accounting details and activities related to real estate and asset leases, ensuring compliance with accounting standards like ASC 842. Experience with FinQuery a plus. This includes tasks associated with abstracting lease agreements, validating data, preparing accounting schedules, and supporting audits. Work with various departments and Regions to ensure accuracy and integrity of lease-related financial data.
- Review and analysis of corporate spend vs budget
- Assist Regional Controller with preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Analytical review of the operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective
- Support the month-end business process with value added information & analysis
- Communication as necessary to answer questions and inform business partners concerning financial performance and business issues
- Ensure controls are implemented, documented and maintained adequately and effectively
- Document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles and ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors
Qualifications
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
Certification: CPA preferred, but not required
Experience: Five+ years in accounting and finance sector
- Ability to deliver clear and concise written and verbal communication of results.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with people operating at all levels of the company in a variety of situations
- Exceptional computer skills in the operation of all programs used by the organization including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
