The Department of Transportation, Logistics, and Finance in the College of Business at North Dakota State University seeks applications for a full-time (non-tenure track) position in Finance. The position may be filled as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice or Lecturer, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate .

Duties and Responsibilities
For Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice:
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas such as banking, real estate, wealth management, and other related fields, with a teaching load of six three-credit courses per academic year (60% of workload).
- Engage in service and industry outreach, including participation in internal committees and building partnerships with stakeholders in banking, real estate, and wealth management.
- Maintain professional qualifications and optionally conduct applied research, such as practitioner projects, case studies, or collaborative research with undergraduate students.
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in similar areas, with a teaching load of eight three-credit courses per academic year (80% of workload).
- Focus on teaching excellence and service responsibilities, including committee participation and fostering industry connections in relevant fields.
- Contract Duration: 9 months (August 16 - May 15).
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Associate Professor of Practice: Starting at $100,000+
- Assistant Professor of Practice: Starting at $90,000+
- Lecturer: Starting at $80,000+
Salary is commensurate with experience.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or other closely related areas from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates with a terminal doctoral degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or other closely related areas from an AACSB-accredited institution will also be considered.
- Eligibility to meet faculty qualification standards for accreditation. For professor of practice ranks experience in financial industry is required.
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and respect.
- Demonstrated high-quality university-level teaching in Finance or related fields.
- Ability to teach courses in Banking, Real Estate, Wealth Management, and other as needed, in both face-to-face and online formats.
- Evidence of active participation in professional development and organizations.
- Industry experience in finance.
