Project Manager

Job Description:
As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of IT services and software development projects supporting the client. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams including internal developers, DBAs, and vendor resources to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs. You will be responsible for managing project plans, reporting, communications, and ensuring compliance with client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project work breakdown structures using Azure DevOps or Microsoft Project to monitor tasks, timelines, and resource assignments
• Create and maintain project schedules, budget forecasts, and status reports for stakeholders and leadership
• Direct software development and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and user requirements
• Develop and manage comprehensive project artifacts including project plans, risk logs, and communication strategies
• Coordinate internal and external team efforts, facilitating communication between business stakeholders and vendor partners
• Monitor project scope, budget, and timelines; communicate risks and manage change effectively
• Maintain accurate status reports and documentation within client systems such as PlanView
• Ensure adherence to client and Commonwealth policies, standards, and security requirements
• Oversee vendor and contractor contributions while ensuring integration with internal teams
• Deliver clear project updates and documentation to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• PMP certification or Client PMD Project Manager Qualification (Level 1-4) required
• Proven experience managing software development projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Strong background in technical project environments including systems implementation and application development
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams with internal staff and external vendors or contractors
• Familiarity with project management frameworks such as PMBOK, Project+, or PRINCE2
• Skilled in developing and maintaining project documentation including risk and change management plans
• Proficient in using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project for task and schedule tracking
• Excellent communication skills for interaction across all levels of technical and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and deliverables
• Ability to ensure compliance with security and documentation standards throughout the project lifecycle

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
