Your Role as Director of Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a player-coach: Build the procurement department from scratch while leading a nimble, high-performing team of buyers.
• Integrate and optimize procurement functions across Whistle Express ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
• Establish best-in-class systems and processes to support multi-site field operations across the U.S.
• Identify, evaluate, and nurture relationships with industry-specific suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and reliability goals.
• Negotiate vendor agreements that support Whistle's growth and cost-efficiency goals.
• Deliver measurable cost savings through smart purchasing strategies and sourcing innovation.
• Track, report, and drive improvement across key performance metrics, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead with purpose, adaptability, and agility-no two days will be the same in this evolving, high-growth environment.

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel, approximately 5% to car wash sites, vendor meetings, and industry trade shows.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• 5+ years in procurement or supply chain leadership, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• Track record of building and managing teams with a focus on results and accountability.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred:

• Experience in car wash, automotive services, industrials, or manufacturing industries.
