SCOPE of POSITION: This position requires a high degree of technical and practical knowledge related to the industrial polymer industry and experience in the plastic industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of polymer formulations, compounding processes, and the functional benefits of compatibilizers and additives across a wide range of applications

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth of additives and coupling agents in wood plastics composites (WPC), plastics compounding and recycling markets.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with compounders, OEMs, recyclers, and formulators.
  • Develop product requirements and roadmaps for growing existing plastics accounts.
  • Stay ahead on trends in sustainability and recycling, helping new and existing customers optimize formulations with higher recycled content and renewable fillers, all while maintaining performance and processing efficiency.
  • Incorporate feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach into automotive, packaging, industrial compounding and other adjacent markets.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients, and act as the point of contact and handle customers' individual needs.
  • Provide technical consultation to support product development.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Supervise independent account representatives to ensure sales increase.
  • Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Monitor sales (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products.
  • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Other duties as assigned.


WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales, Product Management, or Technical position with strong customer contact involvement.


QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of maleic anhydride modified polyolefins, coupling agents, compatibilizers, and additive systems
  • Experience in the WPC, recycled plastics or compounding required.
  • Extensive experience with business travel and face-to-face selling.
  • Organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
