Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Business Analysis Manager located in Bellevue, WA will work with a high-profile team of thought leaders and problem solvers who will apply rigorous analytics to help assess and steer T-Mobile's paid media spend, driving business growth through our media investments.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Discuss with business partners and align on key performance indicators that need to be monitored and analyzed.
  • Develop deep understanding of available datasets, and ability to transform, join and aggregate them to extract key performance indicators.
  • Perform prototype ingestion, aggregation, and quality control of new datasets.
  • Analyze historical data to understand how investments in different media channels impact business results.
  • Recommend how to change the mix and nature of our advertising spend in future periods to achieve maximum possible outcome.
  • Create visualizations and formulate storylines to provide actionable recommendations to partners.
  • Present complex analyses in concise and impactful manner to business line owners, media buying team and other marketing stakeholders.
  • Communicate insights with a purpose of increasing enterprise value by improving efficiency of media spend.
  • Cultivate collaborative and positive cross-functional relationships with marketing teams, media agencies, advertising partners, and measurement/analytical vendors.
  • Keep updates on evolving MarTech and AdTech platforms and capabilities by attending relevant webinars and educational sessions from business partners.
  • Validate, and critique analyses and models built by external measurement partners.
  • Telecommuting is permitted, but applicant must work from the worksite location at least 3-4 days per week. No additional national or international travel is anticipated.


Skill requirements:

  • (1) Working with advanced command of SQL, conducting data encode, transforming, and loading (ETL), including data cleaning and normalization. Preparing data for visualization, querying, statistical and quantitative analysis. Using Alteryx for validating, cleansing and blending various data sources, and uploading new datasets into Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • (2) Working with Tableau, creating data visualizations that accurately reflect analytical results, for the purpose of presenting analytical findings to executive stakeholders using PowerPoint. Building complex dashboards using filters, parameters, data blending, and level of detail expressions. Commanding of dashboard publishing and subscriptions procedures.
  • (3) Using Excel, conducting data analysis across disparate database sources for the reporting insights to executive stakeholders. Exporting output of database analysis to use as inputs for quantitative analysis in Excel, including financial modeling and KPI/business driver modeling. Building complex data models with multiple inputs and calculation tabs using scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, ROI analysis, and cash flow calculations.
  • (4) Using PowerPoint and ThinkCell, creating executive-level decks summarizing complex analytical projects into actionable takeaways and recommendations. Presenting to large groups, staying on message, and managing time effectively while answering questions. Coordinating content across multiple contributors using project management techniques (Gantt chart, project documentation) and gaining stakeholder alignment on key messages.


Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Business Administration, Emerging Media Studies or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Emerging Media Studies or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

OTHER: Work hours: 40 hours/week. Washington Pay Range: $183,581.00 to $188,581.00/year.

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience.

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives.
