We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Analysis Engineer with a background in MRB (Manufacturing Review Board) support to contribute to a dynamic and high-impact team in Kansas. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of aircraft structural integrity, particularly in support of repair and production environments.
What You'll Tackle:
- Conduct detailed structural assessments on both composite and metallic airframe components using tools such as Nastran, Patran, and other FEA platforms
- Provide technical input on production deviations by offering substantiated repair solutions as part of a cross-functional MRB team
- Execute static, fatigue life, and damage tolerance evaluations to ensure solutions meet regulatory and internal standards
- Evaluate proposed design changes and support optimization strategies for airframe structure
- Document engineering assessments through formal technical justifications and analysis reports
- Partner closely with design, manufacturing, and regulatory compliance groups to drive safe and timely resolutions to structural issues
- Maintain adherence to industry safety and airworthiness standards, including FAA or other applicable certification protocols
We're Looking for Someone Who Brings:
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a similar engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in airframe stress analysis, including MRB support
- Strong working knowledge of finite element modeling tools (Patran/Nastran) and familiarity with repair assessment processes
- Direct experience on Boeing programs highly desirable
- Proven understanding of aircraft load paths, structural behavior, and repair engineering principles
- Proficiency in evaluating repairs for static strength, fatigue life, and crack growth behavior
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply analytical reasoning to real-world manufacturing scenarios
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach
- Prior experience with fuselage structures or major OEM aircraft platforms strongly preferred
- Full-time, on-site availability in Kansas City or Raleigh area is required
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for consideration due to project access requirements
