This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Central Mechanical Plant Manager to join our team supporting a government client with locations in Washington Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the safe, reliable, effective, and efficient Operational and Maintenance (O&M) of all Central Mechanical Plant (CMP) systems and associated ancillary and distribution systems twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days a week. Manage the team associated with the 24/7 operation of the CMP. Oversee the O&M of the CMP. Interface with internal leadership as well as external organizations and/or contractors associated with the operation and maintenance of the CMP. Develop, maintain, and refine operating procedure to include the safe and reliable operation of the CMP. Be responsible for the recording of metrics associated with the CMP operation.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Central Mechanical Plant.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Central Plant Operations and Maintenance.
- Strong management and leadership expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the central management plant (CMP)
- 5+ years of experience operating CMP
- Knowledge of the proper repair and maintenance requirements for CMP equipment.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of the chilled water system, boiler system, potable water system, standby emergency generator system, mechanical and electrical distribution systems, and supporting systems.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and updating operating procedures for Central Mechanical Plants.
- Experience managing the staffing and the associated scheduling associated with 24/7 Central Mechanical Plant operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Effective oral and written communications skills; ability to read and understand blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in managing critical deadlines
Desired:
- Class I Steam Engineer license or equivalent
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
