Job Title: Registered Dietitian - Sports Medicine Program

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our Sports Medicine team, supporting the health and performance of student-athletes and their families. This role will be embedded in our Sports Medicine Program, providing specialized nutrition guidance, education, and diabetes care for athletes and other patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This is an exciting opportunity for a nutrition professional with a strong background in diabetes education who is also passionate about sports performance, adolescent health, and empowering families to optimize wellness through evidence-based care.

Preferred Qualifications - License, Education, and/or Experience:
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) required
  • Experience in diabetes education or a related healthcare field
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Essential Functions:
  • Provide nutrition and diabetes education tailored to student-athletes and their families, focusing on performance, energy management, and chronic condition care
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers, physicians, and physical therapists to create individualized plans that integrate nutrition, physical activity, and diabetes management
  • Educate and support athletes on advanced diabetes tools to ensure peak performance and safety
  • Identify and address barriers to care, supporting seamless coordination between sports medicine, nutrition therapy, and other disciplines
  • Serve as a mentor and preceptor to other healthcare specialists, helping to develop clinical skills and knowledge
  • Support inpatient and outpatient diabetes education services and integrate them into sports medicine protocols
  • Develop and deliver education sessions, ensuring best practices in diabetes care and nutrition are consistently implemented
  • Stay informed about the latest research and trends in sports nutrition and diabetes care through continuing education
  • Maintain thorough documentation and data collection related to education sessions, outcomes, and athlete support
  • Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success and growth of the Sports Medicine and Diabetes Education Programs

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hiring range: $33.00 - $48.30 per hour, depending on education and experience
  • Discretionary bonuses may be awarded based on individual and job performance
