Role and Responsibilities
Job Description:
Work on the Logistics Planning function, which includes responsibility for Logistics Cost Forecasting, Budget Management and Capacity Modeling. Collaborate with Logistics operations leadership and our partners in Finance, Accounting, Sales, Supply Chain Planning, Repair and Manufacturing. Create and manage a complex data model to track and forecast material volume and related costs. Define and drive process improvements to increase the accuracy, timeliness and accessibility of logistics planning data and analysis. Identify opportunities to improve the logistics planning process and work across internal and external organizations to drive process improvements. Consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources to create a comprehensive view of inbound and outbound shipping volumes, returns and repair activity, etc. Update the monthly logistics cost forecast for labor, packaging, transportation, etc. Monitor actual costs to identify gaps to the plan. Create and maintain a perpetual process improvement plan. Work with leadership to create and maintain medium and long-range business plans. Manage budget inputs and outputs. Assist the accounting group to manage billing issues, match exceptions, etc.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in Management Science, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related job titles.
Applicants must possess 3 years of experience in the following: (1) business planning role in a logistics or manufacturing environment; (2) Sales, inventory and operations planning (SIOP); (3) supply chain management & logistics processes; (4) price negotiation, technical assessment, ordering, production, and logistics management; and (5) creating and maintaining medium and long-range business plans.
