DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON), Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL

Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines, IL, has an Opening for a Director of Nursing

*Must be a Registered Nurse (RN), with at Least 2 Years of DON Experience*

This is a Full Time Role with a Salary of $135k - $145k, Plus Potential $30,000 Performance Bonus, Plus Full Benefit Package, including 401k w/match, Choice of Insurance Plans, Health Savings Account, Teledoc, Opportunity for Advancement, and Much More!

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):

• Manage the nursing department
• Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
• Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all times
• Direct involvement with interviewing and hiring potential employees
• Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
• Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
• Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
• Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
• Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator

Requirements

The Successful Director of Nursing (DON) Will Bring:

• Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
• Clinical and supervisory experience
• Previous hospital and/or skilled nursing experience
• Outstanding leadership and relationship building skills
• Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
