License and Certification Qualifications: Valid Georgia teaching certification required.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree in related field preferred.
Experience Qualifications: Three years experience integrating technology in instruction as a K-12 teacher and at least one year as an Instructional Technology and Innovation Coach required. Experience delivering professional learning opportunities and working with technological resources preferred.
Skills Qualifications: Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects concurrently; strong background in the use of technology to support teaching and learning; excellent technology skills in instructional and productivity software; ability to create and deliver professional learning that supports the vision, mission, and goals of the district; strong communication skills, both in oral and written format; ability to work successfully with colleagues; ability to project and generate a positive attitude; and ability to effect change.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership and support with the use of technology in teaching and learning by providing staff development for Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches, mentoring and supporting Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches, and collaborating with other district instructional coaches.
1. Provide leadership and support with the use of technology in teaching and learning by providing staff development for Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches, mentoring and supporting Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches, and collaborating with other district instructional coaches.
a. Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities that support district goals and best practices in technology integration and instructional strategies.
b. Coach and model the design and implementation of technology?enhanced learning experiences for Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches that address the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS).
c. Mentor new or veteran Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches to meet professional goals identified by local school and district leadership.
d. Provide support via phone, e-mail, and/or school visits in response to areas of expressed need or concern.
2. Collaborate with district personnel including instructional coaches concerning technology integration and instructional strategies.
3. Demonstrate content knowledge and professional growth.
a. Engage in continual learning to deepen content and pedagogical knowledge in technology integration and current and emerging technologies.
b. Develop and improve knowledge through professional development, conferences, workshops, publications, and networking of colleagues.
c. Evaluate and reflect on professional practice to improve and strengthen the ability to effectively model and facilitate technology?enhanced learning experiences.
4. Provide continual communication to various parties in support of teaching and learning.
a. Interpret district and program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences.
b. Provide information to appropriate personnel regarding current research, knowledge, and trends in information literacy.
c. Assist with communication to Library Media Specialists, Instructional Technology and Innovation Coaches, and Technology Support Technicians.
5. Complete tasks with high quality under defined deadlines.
a. Manage projects through strong organization, detailed plans, and balancing of multiple priorities.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
