Who are we looking for?

We have an immediate opening for an energetic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to cover the Central of the USA. This region includes Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. This position will be responsible for the promotion and sales of all product lines in the Company's designated Central region of the U.S.

Qualifications

  • The candidate will be located within the region, ideally close to an airport, and will work remotely from their home office when not traveling.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' sales or operations/management experience in the food processing industry or capital equipment industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Looking for someone with a high motivation for sales, with a strong desire to succeed and win - a hunter mentality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer engagements at any given time, exhibiting creativity and problem-solving skills individually and within a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a plus.


Job description and responsibilities

  • Participates in preparing an annual sales budget and strategies and meets sales objectives by following sales plan and meeting quotas.
  • Travels extensively in the territory calling on accounts and building customer relationships - hunting for new customers and farming existing. Typical travel is four days a week.
  • Develops accounts, identifies projects and works with customers, engineering, and product sales management teams to develop quotations, project paybacks and justifications.
  • Develops deep understanding of plant operations, product portfolios and customer investment objectives and buying cycles.
  • Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities. Appropriately follows up and moves projects through the sales funnel from a lead to an order.
  • Drives interest in machine demonstrations and is responsible for establishing demo criteria for field and Solution Center demonstrations.
  • Builds strong internal relationships and teamwork to achieve support required to perform responsibilities as a Regional Sales Manager.
  • Required administration work done on time as specified and disciplined in recording all sales activity in CRM system.
  • Conducts business ethically both internally and externally.
