Job Description
This Compensation Specialist is responsible for the administration of compensation programs within Monro, Inc. The Compensation Specialist must possess strong business acumen, solid analytical skills, excellent knowledge of compensation administration processes, salary and job grades and compensation laws and requirements. The position must have a strong working relationship with Senior Leadership, Hiring Managers, Human Resources and compensation vendors.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.

Job Description
This Compensation Specialist is responsible for the administration of compensation programs within Monro, Inc. The Compensation Specialist must possess strong business acumen, solid analytical skills, excellent knowledge of compensation administration processes, salary and job grades and compensation laws and requirements. The position must have a strong working relationship with Senior Leadership, Hiring Managers, Human Resources and compensation vendors.

Essential Functions:
- Assist in the implementation and administration of Monro's compensation programs.
- Provides compensation guidance and analysis and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Regularly review Monro jobs and classification within pay structure to ensure internal equity.
- Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures and recommends program enhancements.
- Analyzes data, conducts research and makes recommendations to pay structures, salary ranges, merit budgets and bonus programs.
- Assist Human Resources Business Partners and managers in writing job descriptions.
- Conducts job analysis based on Job Descriptions and provides managers with recommended salary range.
- Provide consulting advice to management on small- and large-scale compensation strategies.
- Provide data support for negotiating with acquisitions on issues relating to compensation.
- Participates and manages data related to annual compensation surveys.
- Prepares key documents for the Merit process and analyzes results into summary reports at the conclusion.
- Provides reports requested by management on compensation related matters.
- Maintains and manages the job grade and salary range systems for the organization.
- Responsible for monitoring internal compliance with established salary ranges.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for Recruitment regarding Compensation related matters.
- Provides regular reporting on compensation trends to the Director, Total Rewards.
- Is proactive in making recommendations on salary, bonus or general compensation issues that are identified.
- Maintains eligibility for all executive level variable pay programs.
- Maintain documentation and ensures FLSA compliance for all variable pay programs in the field.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in business, finance, human resources or equivalent experience is required.
- PHR and/or CCP/CEBs certification preferred.
- 3 or more years of direct applicable experience in administration compensation programs.
- Additional experience within HR is highly desired.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, best practices, and procedures within compensation.
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and leaders.
- Excellent analytical, problems solving and data analysis skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and able to handle large, concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of U.S. employment/compensation laws.
- Ability to quickly build trust and rapport at all levels in the organization.
- Strong computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel.
- Strong math skills plus familiarity with statistical techniques.
- Ability to operate at a highly confidential level.
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years administration of company compensation for a workforce of at least 3,000 employees.
