As our portfolio continues to grow, so does our Business Development Team! Mark-Taylor is hiring a Manager of Business Development. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager of Business Development to join our Consulting department. This role is critical in generating new business opportunities, guiding potential clients through the sales process, and transitioning signed clients to the Account Management team. The ideal candidate is extremely extraverted, motivated, persuasive, and excels at relationship-building, ensuring a seamless handoff to foster long-term client satisfaction.

As the Manager of Business Development, you will work primarily out of our Corporate Office located in the McCormick Ranch neighborhood of Scottdale, Arizona.

You're Excited About This Role Because You Will:
  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of sales strategies across all consulting service lines, ensuring alignment with market trends and company growth objectives.
  • Proactively generate and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads through targeted outreach, industry networking, and market research.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients by understanding their business needs and delivering compelling, customized presentations.
  • Drive contract negotiations to successful close, balancing client expectations with internal policies and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management and Marketing teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and alignment of sales materials with brand messaging.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM systems, leveraging data to produce sales forecasts and performance reports for leadership.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge, identify gaps in service offerings, and contribute to innovation by proposing new consulting solutions.

We're Excited to Meet You! Ideally, You Will Bring:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in multifamily housing, professional services, or property technology is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with a competitive drive to succeed.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and open to feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to contributing to a positive work culture.
