Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team within the North America Places group. We are looking to grow our team of skilled multi-discipline engineers and engineering consultants throughout North America. This is a key location-based position.

Role description:
The Engineering Team at Arcadis is expanding, and the company has a new career opportunity for an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer for our Houston, Texas office.
For this role, we are searching for a candidate who is comfortable working within a project Team environment that is focused on expanding our civil development project footprint within Texas. Arcadis is seeking a well-experienced Civil Engineer with their PE who is comfortable working on large, complex civil development projects such as hospitals, airports, residential neighbourhoods, shopping complexes, educational campuses, to mention a few!

Role accountabilities:
- Assist and participate in the execution of design tasks for civil infrastructure/site development projects, focusing on public and private sector developments
- Work directly with a project manager to assist with the completion of construction documents
- Civil engineering design, including site layout, Roadway layout, Site grading and drainage, utility sizing and layout, storm water management design, including design of retention/detention facilities
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Working with municipalities on permits
Qualifications & Experience:
- 6 or more years working on civil development projects for the private and/or public sector
- 'Practitioner' level expertise in professional discipline
- BS in Civil Engineering as well as Professional Engineer (PE) Certification or equivalent
- Experience working with internal or external Teams as well as stakeholders
- Commitment to health and safety
