Role description:
The role will report into the GM Americas Equities COO, and will include the following responsibilities:

Department overview:
The Americas COO Team provides business management for the sales and trading desk across various aspects of the business, including strategic plans and initiatives, budget planning, expense monitoring, and day to day support.
Role description:
The role will report into the GM Americas Equities COO, and will include the following responsibilities:
- Business Planning/Strategy: Support to foster strategic long term initiatives such as new products and business expansion. Establishing trading revenue and client budgets, agendas, goals and action plans.
- Operational Efficiency : Working with the business to identify areas of process gaps or operational risk to identify areas of optimization, and collaborate with Corporate to implement solutions.
- Revenue and Expense: Analysis and optimization of business costs and expenses vs. revenues. Review and understand pre-tax income components to yield best results.
- Liaison with Corporate: Escalation point of contact for corporate functions supporting the business. Collaborating closely with other functions on a daily basis (Legal, Compliance, Ops, Finance, IT)
- Management Support: Day to day support of GM Heads of Sales and Trading to assist with managerial responsibilities.
Key objectives critical to success:
- A great communicator, particularly at the Senior Management level
- Someone with project management experience would be helpful, as the ability to manage many projects and initiatives as once is very important
- Ability to clearly define, agree and communicate priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong and mutually supportive working relationships within GM and corporate functions
- Detail orientated with strong excel and power point skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to internal and external change
- Strong analytical, written and communication skills

- Prior experience working at a financial services institution within a Markets business
