Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scoping, and execution of risk-based IT audits, including security assessments, application reviews, infrastructure evaluations, and compliance audits (e.g., NIST, SOX, HIPAA, FISMA).
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls over critical business systems, databases, networks, and cloud environments.
- Evaluate the organization's adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, identifying gaps or areas of non-compliance.
- Analyze IT processes and controls to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and practical recommendations for remediation.
- Present audit results to senior management and stakeholders, supporting understanding and facilitating action on identified issues.
- Perform follow-up reviews to assess the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and business units to support enterprise risk management efforts.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, cyber threats, and regulatory changes affecting information systems and IT audit practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior auditors, fostering skill development and audit best practices.
- Participate in the annual risk assessment and audit planning process.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT auditing, cybersecurity, or information systems risk management.
- Strong understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001) and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
- Experience with audit management tools, security assessment platforms, and enterprise IT environments.
- SECRET Security Clearance
- Required Professional certifications such Security + CE, Network Plus + CE; CISA, CISSP, CISM, or CPA strongly preferred.
