Job Summary
Physical therapists are vital healthcare professionals focused on helping individuals recover from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. They improve patients' physical function, mobility, and quality of life through personalized care across various clinical settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, sports facilities, schools, and home healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
" Evaluate patients to assess physical condition, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs
" Review medical histories and conduct physical examinations and assessments
" Develop individualized treatment plans with defined goals and objectives
" Tailor treatment plans to specific medical conditions and patient needs
" Use therapeutic techniques to improve mobility and physical function
" Apply exercise, manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, and specialized equipment
" Design customized exercise programs for strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
" Educate patients on proper techniques and monitor exercise progress
" Perform joint mobilization, soft tissue massage, and manipulation techniques
" Recommend and assist in the use of mobility aids and orthotic devices
" Provide patient education on conditions, treatment plans, and prevention strategies
" Utilize pain management techniques such as heat/cold therapy and electrical stimulation
" Advise on injury prevention strategies, particularly for athletes and high-risk individuals
" Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
" Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress
" Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
" Stay current with advancements in physical therapy and evidence-based practices
" Handle administrative duties including scheduling, insurance claims, and equipment maintenance
Required Qualifications
" Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
" Valid state Physical Therapy license
" Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills
" Ability to develop individualized rehabilitation plans
" Team-oriented mindset and collaboration skills

" Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
