Overview:

Our Product Development team in San Jose operates in a rapid-paced and innovative environment. We focus on creating new market solutions with rapid productization. This position will focus on development efforts for Veeco's emerging NSA (Nano-second Laser Spike Annealing). A successful candidate will collaborate across cross-functional teams, driving project timelines, and ensuring successful program execution. The Program Manager will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and ensuring program objectives are aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Interface with product line managers to ensure a clear definition of customer requirements
  • Identify optimal strategies for project requirements, deliverables, test parameters, specifications, and timelines
  • Estimate resource requirements and development cost
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SEMI standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and vendors
  • Create and manage project schedules, including resource allocations and cross-team leveling
  • Manage the activities of engineers assigned to your projects, including mechanical, electrical, optical, technician and software disciplines for product development
  • Assess and identify risks (technical and schedule) and plan for contingencies
  • Facilitate and present technical design reviews
  • Manage the generation of BOMs, work instructions, and other product release documentation
  • Coordinate interactions with other departments within Veeco to ensure smooth product release
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies to management


Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering or Physics, with at least 2 years of technical project management or related experience; an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Advanced degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Familiar SAP to manage program expense, access controlled documents
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability to meet commitments
  • Semiconductor Equipment product development experience is desired.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to overcome obstacles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • On site presence at San Jose factory site
  • International travel may be required (up to 20%) - Interfacing with customers, design partners and suppliers
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus


The expected salary range for this position is $97,968.00 - $124,092.20, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
