Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' condition based on professional assessment techniques and clinical diagnostics
- Interpret assessment findings and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to ensure patients reach their maximum functional capabilities
- Provide specialized care mainly for pediatric patients while also managing acute inpatient and swing bed patients
- Offer outpatient therapy for adults as needed, fostering a versatile treatment environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care
- Adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical judgements
- Maintain patient records and document therapy outcomes to ensure accurate monitoring of progress and treatment efficacy
- Assist in the training and professional development of new staff and occupational therapy interns
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio
- Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy with capabilities to handle inpatient care
- Strong understanding of applicable regulations and standards affecting Occupational Therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Capability to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation setting
- Advanced certifications in pediatric or neurologic occupational therapy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in outpatient care settings
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
