Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Director, GS Transformation Management Office Leader (Project Butterfly)to join our team in New Brunswick or Raritan, NJ. This is a duration-based role ending mid-year 2027.

Position Overview

This role is accountable for leading the development and delivery of MedTech's Project Butterfly Transformation Management Office. The Butterfly program is the launchpad for transforming how our people work - streamlining commercial processes, elevating customer experience, and driving success and innovation across MedTech. Butterfly integrates AI-powered Customer Experience Management (CXM) across sales, marketing, service, and operations, turning data into an intelligent, connected customer ecosystem. Program scope is focused on the following areas: Professional Relations & Ops, Marketing Experience, Sales Experience, Customer Support Experience. The value case is based on reducing operational costs. Project Butterfly is a global initiative that will touch thousands of MedTech associates across all four regions.

This leader in close partnership with the Executive SteerCo, Management Team, Transformation Office and Design Authority Board will drive the execution of the program vision, planning, roadmap/approach development and execution with cross-functional resources and external partners. They will provide day-to-day oversight and coordinate with and across workstream leaders to ensure the program has a strong focus on: end-to-end process integration, employee experience, value realization, change management/comms, continuous improvement, and that the program develops a sustainable operating mode/run state. This leader is responsible for ensuring that the program is taking a customer-centric approach that spans the perspective of employees, leaders, and business partners across the globe.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the global cross-functional core team including external partners in the planning and implementation of the program including mobilization and effectiveness of workstreams.
  • Ensure effective business communication and engagement around the program, including identification and management of key stakeholders, communication of program status, key risk, issues, escalations, and decisions, financials, value case and overall program health.
  • Develop the strategic roadmap and gain business alignment including integration with other strategic initiatives outside of the Butterfly program
  • Ensure an integrated end-to-end roadmap and employee/customer centric view across people, process, technology dimensions with clear and robust deployment plans
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a sustainable value realization framework (leveraging the GS framework) and run state and service infrastructure
  • Partner with JJT, HR, and other MedTech functions to ensure end-to-end governance, execution, and process view with sector mindset. Establish ways of working and governance with cross-functional capability owners to resource and enable the program
  • Integrate into existing MedTech ways of working leveraging existing and new deployment (e.g., TranSCend program, DSP / MedTech Digital Governance) and process standards (e.g., SAFe Agile) to ensure consistency of communication, experience and approaches


Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience designing and successfully implementing large global cross-functional programs
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes: Professional Relations & Ops, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support. Specifically, MedTech is desirable.
  • Proven experience performing progressive process design, continuous improvement, business transformations
  • Budget management and understanding of complex organizational factors required. Demonstrated ability to create a value case and manage value realization
  • Proven experience managing external implementation partners
  • Experience reporting into a dual program and function reporting structures
  • Strong leadership skills and can operate as a global leader with understanding and appreciation for regional differences
  • The ability to develop high performing teams and lead and operate in a matrixed environment to establish high performing program team and governance in partnership with PMO.
  • Understanding of change management principles including having a proven track record of leading initiatives with significant change elements on a global scale
  • The ability to build interdependent partnerships, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition is required.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker, with highly developed problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding technology issues and the ability to weigh various trade-offs to make critical decisions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and daily planned and unplanned operational activities.
  • Effective communication and strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to a broad, diverse audience.
  • Must have a collaborative approach, the ability to connect and co-create with partners, and the ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • The ability to shape / create a future vision and gain support and alignment to that vision.
  • Must have a bifocal approach - ability to zoom-in/zoom-out for strategic and tactical, high-level and detailed.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$146,000-$251,850

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
