What you will do:
Completion of 24 credit hours of continuing legal education from accredited programs for applicable two-year reporting period pursuant to Rule X of Rules of Government of Bar of Ohio. Current certificate of registration pursuant to Rule VII of Rules of Government of Bar of Ohio. Note: This position is unclassified in accordance with ORC 124.11 (A) (9).

Qualifications
Admission to Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code AND 12 months of experience as licensed attorney AND 6 months of experience in employee training & development.

What you will do:
- Serves as Deputy Legal Counsel providing legal counsel and advice to the Department and Divisions.
- Coordinates with the Department's Chief Legal Counsel, the Division Chiefs, and the Ohio Attorney General's Office on the negotiation, settlement, and/or litigation of legal matters, including the filing of civil or criminal enforcement actions.
- Reviews and drafts contracts, compliance agreements, memorandum of understanding, and other legal documents.
- Monitors, develops, and drafts rules and policies for the Division.
- Provides legal analysis and instruction and assists with the Division's responses to public records requests.
- Starting hourly pay of $37.53/ hr with multiple pay increases over your first 8 years of service, with an end salary of $53.58 /hr.
