Our Power Group, for which this role would be supporting, is leading the future of the energy and utility generation industry, focused on combined heat and power, alternative fuels like biogas and hydrogen, fuel cells, battery storage, among many other cutting-edge technologies. Some of your responsibilities include the following
  • Produce drawings and design of piping systems for industrial projects such as cogeneration power plants, central heating and cooling plants, renewable energy systems and large chillers and boilers
  • Develop equipment general arrangement drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), piping plan and section drawings
  • Design and model equipment skids, selection and design of pipe supports
  • Coordinate layout of mechanical equipment and routing of piping, ductwork, and miscellaneous components with other trades
  • Create and modify technical drawings and schematics from engineer markups using AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Assure designs are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practice
  • Review project files for compliance with company and/or client standards and procedures
  • May travel to project sites to observe existing conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Skills & Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a vocational training program or technical school
  • 6 plus years' experience desired
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and industry piping standards required
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Revit and BIM360 Cloud Collaboration platform is a plus
  • Motivated and self-sufficient, strong computer skills and detail-oriented perspectives
  • Ability to work individually or in a team setting with strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Customer service perspective with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
  • Knowledge in MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook

The compensation that we expect to pay for this position is commensurate with years of experience, professional licensure, and education and may range from $80,000 to $110,000 annually, plus benefits.
