Your Impact
Lead and implement automation projects, upgrades, and obsolescence mitigation for process control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) across Greenfield and Brownfield mining sites. Ensure projects meet Newmont's safety, technical, and operational standards while advancing innovation and sustainability.
You will be compensated with a base salary between 97,000-122,000, with an additional short-term incentive. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Lead safe, compliant installation and commissioning of control systems projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risk mitigation plans, and vendor supervision.
- Collaborate with site and global teams to execute standardization and modernization initiatives.
- Support operational readiness with detailed planning and execution oversight.
- Continuously improve project outcomes by sharing best practices and lessons learned.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- Electrical/Instrumentation trade background plus a degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Control, Computer Science, or related field.
- PLCs SCADA network architecture and Operational Technology equipment, DCS (distributed control systems)
- Emerson Delta V (asset)
- Extensive experience in mining automation and control projects, managing projects up to $10M.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Projects, AutoCAD, and change management processes.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic project environments and travel as needed.
