About the Role
Are you passionate about using Salesforce to drive real-world impact? YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect & Administrator to lead the evolution of our CRM platform - leveraging Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, case management, and custom managed packages including Avocado to support vital programs and services.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, designing efficient workflows, and configuring solutions that empower diverse teams including Child Care, Health, Fitness & Aquatics, Community Programs, Fund Development, Finance and more. You'll be our in-house Salesforce expert - both visionary and builder - guiding the platform's strategic growth and rolling up your sleeves to deliver technical solutions.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Downtown Edmonton office, with a typical schedule of 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days working remotely each week. Occasional travel to our operational sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas may be required

What You'll Do
Salesforce Strategy & Solution Design
- Collaborate with internal departments to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions
- Identify opportunities for system automation, optimization, and continuous improvement
- Lead Salesforce-related projects from planning through implementation
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools or integrations to support YMCA programs
Configuration & Customization
- Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, workflows, validation rules, and more
- Build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision making
- Support managed packages and apps within the Salesforce ecosystem
Administration & Support
- Manage daily Salesforce operations: user access, roles/permissions, data integrity, and security
- Provide end-user support and training across multiple departments
- Conduct regular audits and ensure system readiness for Salesforce updates
- Maintain documentation, training guides, and support resources
What You Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and configuration experience
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, including NPSP and nonprofit use cases
- Experience managing custom objects, data models, workflows, and automation tools
- Strong business analysis skills and the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions
- Familiarity with Salesforce integrations and third-party managed packages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Power Automate, and data quality management
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in a related field is an asset
