Summary:
This position is in an ambulatory care setting and is responsible for the overall nursing operations, patient care, and staff management within outpatient and non-hospital settings such as community health nursing. This includes developing policies, ensuring compliance, overseeing staffing, and leading the nursing team to deliver high-quality evidenced-based care.
Duties:
Leadership and Management: Provides leadership and direction to the nursing team, including nurse managers, staff nurses, community health nurses, and support staff. Engage in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for nursing that is aligned with the strategic plan for the health center. Cultivate a nursing culture that promotes and rewards professional growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, constructive communication, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, and customer service. ? Coaches, mentors, advises, develops and supports his/her direct management reports, other nursing leaders, councils, work groups and committees. ? Assure the availability of appropriately trained staff to deliver a high quality and consistent standard of nursing care. Support consistency in nursing performance appraisal and clinical ladder processes utilizing established With the assistance of Human Resources hires staff. Trains, supervises, evaluates, recognizes and rewards nursing staff. Establishes and implements policies, procedures, and standards of care. Manages facility operations, business planning, and productivity. Resolves conflicts and ensures compliance with policies. ? Communicates effectively with administration, other departments, patients, and families. ? Participates as a member of the Executive Team ? Participates as part of the management team in formulating, implementing and evaluating business plans/strategies for ambulatory care services and responsible for achieving both short and long term strategic, business and financial goals/objectives. Establishes and maintains effective communications and collaboration with administrators, Medical Directors and physicians, staff and other hospital personnel. Patient Care: ? Ensures the delivery of all nursing care according to professional standards and best practices. ? Develops and implements evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. ? Maintains a safe and high-quality care environment. Compliance and Quality: ? Ensures infection control and sterilization processes adhere to standards of practice ? Maintains an environment that promotes patient safety, high reliability of processes, and quality outcomes. ? Participate in and assure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Maintains a thorough understanding of requirements and standards. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
10 (ten) years extensive clinical experience in ambulatory care setting 5 (five) years' experience in leadership, management, and supervision Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) Must possess a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid unrestricted license in the US Current BLS certification Current ACLS and PALS certification. PREFERRED: Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) Experience working in a Tribal 638 organization Indian Preference
