General Summary:

About The Role

GSOC Hardware Program Management Office is actively seeking an MSIP (Analog/Mixed-Signal IP) Program Manager candidate. The candidate will work directly with the Qualcomm MSIP teams which designs analog and Mixed-signal integrated circuit IP across a range of Qualcomm products. The primary focus of the MSIP work is on a wide range of IP design (ADC/DAC/PLL/LDO/Sensors/SerDes/DDR) on advanced nanometre process technology nodes.

Responsibilities Will Include
  • Work closely with the MSIP Teams at Qualcomm to manage and coordinate a portfolio of IP projects from concept through to release on the latest technology nodes;
  • Work with a global cross-functional engineering teams to deliver a wide range of IP to SoC programs at Qualcomm for all business units;
  • Responsible for the successful execution of milestones on the MSIP design flow from architecture, implementation, verification, integration and releases
  • Oversee the successful execution of multiple MSIP projects:
    • Ensure that project schedules, risk analysis and mitigation plans are aligned with project goals.
    • Create, monitor and control schedules and milestones to ensure various MSIP projects stay on track.
    • Continually evaluate program risks and take appropriate action to mitigate; maintain and update a risk tracker.
    • Serve as the focal point for program communications to Senior Management.
    • Compile regular program status for all stakeholders and escalate critical issues and risks.
  • This is a global team so it will be an integral part of this role to engage and communicate with multiple sites world-wide.
  • Metric collection, analysis and presentation to Senior Management.
  • Develop engineering-based performance indicators/metrics geared towards risk identification, assessment, quantification. Monitor and ensure adherence to Test plan tracker, Sign-off checklists, etc.
  • Monitors budget/spending, on-time delivery, and achievement of program milestones
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring lessons learned activities for the projects are completed.
  • Serve as a Champion for advancing Program Management best practices.
  • Liaise with technical leaders and senior management to optimize resource utilization across a large portfolio of projects.
  • Audit research and development documentation as required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.


What We Would Love To See
  • Experience in a relevant analog/digital/mixed-signal technical role; a background in silicon development, software development and/or hardware systems design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the analog/digital/mixed-signal circuit design flow is a strong plus
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
  • Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Experience with program management tools such as dashboards (Splunk, Thoughtspot, Tableau, PowerBI), Gantt charts, etc.
  • PMP or other accreditation is a plus.
  • Strong planning and organizations skills; must be able to set and manage priorities, adapt to change, track progress of activities, issues, risks and deliverables to closure.
  • A problem solver who is able to quickly assess situations, collect relevant information or input from subject matter experts and drive manageable solutions.
  • Able to act decisively and make clear timely decisions which are in the best interests of the project.
  • Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processes.
  • Willingness to take the big picture view; demonstrate an ability to identify and address challenges across functional boundaries.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
1+ year of experience with program management tools such as dashboards, Gantt charts, etc.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the establishment of program goals and prioritizes deliverables under minimal supervision of Program Management stakeholders.
Manages and takes responsibility for multiple small programs/technology with minimal complexity or a single program/technology with moderate complexity by applying up-to-date program management knowledge to meet deadlines.
Builds and manages the execution of the Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple small programs or a single medium sized program, which includes schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.
Tracks all key metrics pertaining to a program, provides early warning for potential metric deviations and escalates in timely manner when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record.
Coordinates the work of a small team on assigned tasks with guidance and maintains progress in tracking system.
Identifies program issues/risks and creates a risk mitigation plan for multiple small programs or a single medium-sized program. Maintains and updates the risk tracker.
Supports team vision and objectives by motivating team.
Supports the compliance of processes by following best practices and procedures and providing observations for process improvement.

Level of Responsibility:
Working under some supervision.
Making decisions that are low to moderate in impact; errors may have relatively minor financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships; errors may require involvement beyond immediate work group to correct.
Using verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be somewhat complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question. May require basic negotiation and influence, cooperation, tact, and diplomacy, etc.
Completing tasks with multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
Exercising creativity to draft original documents, imagery, or work products within established guidelines.
Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$126,400.00 - $189,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
