- Collaborate and build relationships with hiring managers to understand business needs and roles to be filled.
- Implement and utilize effective recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified candidates, including but not limited to advertising, database searches, sourcing of active and passive candidates, networking, internal and external referrals, social media, and job fairs, as appropriate.
- Partner with hiring teams and Strategic People Partners to build and execute effective sourcing strategies (including placement agencies as appropriate) with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations.
- Recruit passive candidates at all levels and understand how to match technical requirements to candidates' skill set and competencies.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management.
- Draft recruitment advertisements, posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
- Actively screen candidate resumes to ensure required skill set for open position; utilize technology recruitment platforms and AI to drive candidates to the Valley Careers site.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and make recommendations to hiring managers.
- Develop and manage relationships with community organizations and agencies to identify diverse pool of candidates.
- Guide successful candidates and support hiring managers through initial onboarding processes.
- Support team-related projects and initiatives to continuously improve the recruiting approach and provides additional recruiting coverage as needed.
Required Skills:
- Successful track record of engaging, selling, and recruiting for multiple types of corporate function roles across all disciplines.
- Must have proven ability to recruit passive and active job-market candidates using various methods, including but not limited to: advertising, database searches, sourcing of active and passive candidates, networking, internal and external referrals, social media, etc.
- Demonstrated internet proficiency and ability to work with Applicant tracking systems (ADP experience a plus) as well as sourcing tools like LinkedIn and Indeed.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must possess good time management, multitasking, and stress management skills to be able to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner consistently.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (HR, Business, etc.) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate recruiting.
Preferred Experience:
- Recruiting experience in banking or financial services, In-house technical recruiting experience.
