Personnel and Department Management
- Establish and maintain strong, open, and respectful relationships with all company teams.
- Maintain awareness of key transactional relationships/processes between teams that affect revenue, operations, and customers service, with the goal of improving/streamlining processes while maintaining financial statement integrity and controls.
- Manage accounting personnel, including daily employee support, employee coaching, development and engagement, and employee reviews.
- Participate in, and contribute to, special projects.
- Prepare monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows), including documenting variances and resolving unusual items.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly for accuracy, validity, completeness.
- Provide timely, accurate, and succinct financial and operational information to management when requested.
- Analyze job/project cost reports for unusual items and opportunities to improve company performance.
- Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support company objectives and GAAP.
- Oversee the entire revenue cycle [sales, credit, contracts, billing, collections, and cash receipts].
- Ensure recorded transactions are complete, valid, and timely.
- Oversee and manage the timely reporting and resolution of outstanding receivables, while maintaining strong customer relations.
- Manage entire accounts payable process, including procurement, receiving, accounts payable, payments, payroll.
- Ensure recorded transactions are complete, valid, and timely.
- Maintain good vendor and contract relationships.
- Create and maintain weekly cash activity reports.
- Ensure cash accounts are reconciled daily, identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Approve check and ACH exceptions.
- Complete and submit bank covenant reporting within covenant deadlines.
- Manage year-end Federal and State income tax reporting, working with external CPA.
- Oversee sales tax compliance, and prepare and file sales tax reports.
- Prepare local tax personal property tax returns.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Five or more years' experience in this role required.
- Must demonstrate a tangible fit with our core values.
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- GAAP experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Preferred Industry Background: residential Service and Construction
- Languages: English and Spanish a plus
