Description:

InnovaFlex is seeking an IT Director in a role that requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and strong project management skills to drive both innovation and operational excellence within the IT Team and across the organization. This role is responsible for developing, overseeing, and maintaining the company's computer network infrastructure and information systems, as well as application software development, and cybersecurity posture.

The IT Director will work closely with Senior Leadership, the IT Team, and other stakeholders to ensure that networks and systems meet performance objectives, and ensure Innovaflex meets its IT business objectives. The IT Director will lead and mentor the IT, Software, and Security teams, and will collaborate with cross functional leadership to plan both the strategic and tactical elements of delivering IT services and activities.

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership, mentoring, and staffing of the IT, Software, and Cybersecurity Team
  • Develop priorities and goals for the department and employees.
  • Developing and maintain network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
  • Understands and can work with legacy Windows Operating Systems utilized by WSD FAB Tools
  • Develop and implement IT and security policies and best practices for the organization
  • Oversee the application software development process to ensure effective releases of new and updated applications to the organization


Risk Management / Business Continuity Planning of IT assets.
  • Analyze current state of IT and its assets for failure and disaster risk (e.g business continuity).
  • Develop an applicable technology recovery methodology for failures and disasters.
  • Advise senior management of failure risk mitigation solutions to mitigate downtime for business operations.
  • Act as point contact and escalation point for all significant business threatening IT issues and outages.


Develop and manage technology budgets
  • Develop and maintain the IT budget ensuring efficient deployment of resources and company assets
  • Evaluating cost-effective solutions for improving IT infrastructure.
  • Justify expenditures based on ROI and business impact.
  • Planning for system upgrades, replacements, or new implementations.


Manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure vendors meet service level agreements, especially for critical production systems.
  • Act as the project manager for significant infrastructure projects and initiatives


Interdepartmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to understand their technological needs and challenges.
  • Work closely with other department Managers and Senior Leadership to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company's networks and technology/security infrastructure.
  • Assist and lend expertise in a variety of ways to help solve WSD FAB Infrastructure problems/issues
  • Assist in ensuring 24/7 availability of key services and infrastructure in a manufacturing production environment


Reporting and Communication:
  • Communicate IT performance, initiatives, and risk management strategies to senior leadership.
  • Provide regular status updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and Senior Leadership in the development of IT and Security policies and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct and support system audits to ensure effective access control programs

Scope

This leadership role is responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of the IT, Software, and Cybersecurity functions across the organization. The position oversees the full lifecycle of technology services, from infrastructure and application development to end-user support and information security. The individual will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop departmental priorities and goals, and ensure the organization's technology systems are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

The role serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, contributing to enterprise-wide risk mitigation strategies, technology investment planning, and policy development. It also acts as the escalation point for critical IT incidents and is charged with ensuring business continuity in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to support growth, innovation, and operational resilience.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High proficiency in teamwork and problem-solving.
  • Hands-on experience in process development and integration.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE) principles.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor materials characterization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, JMP, and Python programming.
  • Experience with industrialization & reliability and accelerated stress testing.
  • Strong report writing, technical documentation, and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions
  • Technical knowledge in current and legacy operating systems and environments
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with end-users and other teams.
  • Knowledge: Advanced professional expertise, developing and applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Working knowledge of Software development lifecycle and standard cybersecurity best practices
  • Job Complexity / Contribution: Works on problems of advanced scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises excellent judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Compensation:

Wages: *$161,000 - $202,000; depending on experience

Annual Target Bonus: 20% (prorated first year of employment based on date of hire)

Education:Preferred Bachelor in IT/IS/CIS/Cybersecurity, or similar

Minimum Experience:

8+ years of experience in the areas of IT Infrastructure Server support and administration
