Principal Technical Program Manager:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Technical Program Manager to lead company-wide programs with high impact and urgency.

Do you see building Tech Strategy & Execution (TSE) used company wide as a crucial enabling technology in today's business environment? Do you have strong subject matter expertise in software design architecture and analysis? Do you have a strong background on system design and the data analysis required for defining must have capabilities for a Platform? Are you execution-oriented with attentive detail to driving platform enhancements and improvements across the technology? If you answered yes to the above, then you might be the right person to be the TSE Technical Program Manager.

Role Overview and What You Will Do:

As Principal Technical Program Manager, you will work closely with members of company-wide business & Engineering teams to help define, streamline, design and analyze data to build business requirements and then work with engineering teams to articulate requirements, further perform functional & technical data & system analysis, drive engineering to implementation via all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). In addition, the ideal candidate must possess a high degree of collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively on many levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex, high-impact technical programs across the company.


  • Collaborate with senior leadership, including VPs and above, to define program strategy, roadmap, success criteria, and own the execution and delivery.


  • Drive architecture solutioning and design options, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.


  • Solve complex problems by leveraging deep technical expertise and innovative thinking.


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.


  • Ensure timely delivery of programs, managing risks, conflicts and dependencies effectively.


  • Creates, evolves, and communicates specifications for feature areas that enable cohesive, compatible, iterable scenarios that span multiple feature teams and enable a durable multi-year vision


  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity.


Qualifications:

  • Strong functional, technical, analytical & design capability to understand Common & shared platforms, web, security, & services API with underlying data.


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.


  • 15+ years of experience in technical program management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, high-impact programs.


  • 5+ years of people management experience.


  • Strong executive presence, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.


  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and contribute to architecture and design discussions.


  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.


  • Experience in defining and executing program strategies and roadmaps.


  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving innovation.


Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $184,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $376,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
