Overview

As Director, Client Solutions this role will lead a client service team that delivers high quality and efficient service to all clientele to ensure goals and objectives support the branch strategy. This role has a direct impact on business outcomes such as client retention, client satisfaction, ensuring the team meets or exceeds Gallagher's service goals. You will focus on maximizing both effectiveness of processes and efficiencies in procedures. Part of your role will be to provide coaching, mentorship and career pathing to the commercial service representatives.

How you'll make an impact

  • Working with branch leadership foster and maintain a culture of respect, inclusion and engagement for all employees
  • Work closely with sales teams to foster and maintain a collaborative culture between sales and operations
  • Responsible for the development, mentoring and coaching of all our service staff and identify key succession opportunities or gaps within the province
  • Responsible for ensuring full utilization and adoption of the Gallagher internal service model within the branch
  • Provide guidance and support to commercial service staff
  • Lead in hiring of new service staff ensuring they meet the qualifications of the position
  • Implement new service staff training program and provide weekly feedback to determine next steps required for the successful onboarding of new staff.
  • Ensure underwriting practices and procedures are effectively understood, reinforced, and in compliance, (e.g. policy changes, renewals, etc.)
  • Ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet client needs, including a quarterly review of the book of business within your designated branch.
  • Monitor and adjust workflow and service standards within the team
  • First point of contact for insurance carrier service issues and procedural changes.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director, Client Solutions Centre of Excellence to ensure timely and accurate processing of policy transactions

About you

  • Secondary School Diploma required, College or University Degree strongly preferred.
  • University or College degree an asset
  • CIP/FCIP/CRM an asset
  • 10 + years of Commercial experience
  • 5+ years management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated strong team building skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and solution seeking skills to remove impediments in the business
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to identify and analyze client risk exposures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client (internal and external) service focus
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi -task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure and time constraints
  • Valid Driver's License (some travel required)
