We are recruiting for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Attorney, Cybersecurity. This position will be based in Atlanta or Charlotte office. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Reporting directly to our General Counsel - Cybersecurity & Data Governance, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice on cybersecurity matters. You will work in close cooperation with Honeywell's Globally Security function, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, supporting cyber incident management, and security terms contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and provide legal advice on emerging cybersecurity laws and industry frameworks.
  • Support incident management and collaborate closely with global security function.
  • Review and support the negotiation of contractual documents related to cybersecurity.
  • Develop contract templates and playbooks to drive efficiencies.
  • Manage regulatory reporting and registration requirements under new cybersecurity laws.
  • Work with engineering and product teams to translate legal obligations into technical requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on mitigating cybersecurity risks.
  • Create customer-facing security content for Honeywell's Trust Center.

You Must Have
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • Appropriate certifications and bar admissions, based on location.
  • Proven experience supporting cyber incidents and data breaches.
  • Knowledge of key cybersecurity laws, such as NIS2, DORA, CIRCIA, Cyber Resilience Act, and HIPAA.
  • Experience advising on industry security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, CSA STAR, and ISA 62443.
  • Proficient in English, other languages are a plus.


We Value
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent.
  • CISSP, CIPP/E, or similar accreditation(s).
  • Technical background with experience in software development or engineering.
  • A mix of law firm, government, and in-house experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently to drive key initiatives at a distance from direct supervisor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
