About this position:

Advantech is seeking a Manager of Product Management to lead and shape the strategic direction of our embedded computing and made in USA product lines. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving market success through localized go-to-market strategies, Edge AI solution integration, and effective cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, product vision, and the ability to coach and inspire teams toward successful execution.

You'll serve as a key liaison between customers, internal stakeholders, and global partners, leading initiatives that align product strategy with business growth and customer value.

Responsibilities:

• Define and develop localized strategies for Advantech's embedded product lines (https://www.advantech.com/en-us/embedded-boards-design-in-services), and collaborate with product managers and marketing teams for product promotion and planning efforts.
• Lead the product strategy for embedded boards and made in USA offerings, aligning with corporate goals and market trends.
• Manage and mentor a small team of product managers or serve as a lead contributor while influencing others across matrixed functions.
• Develop and execute localized go-to-market (GTM) plans, identifying regional opportunities and tailoring solutions to meet customer needs.
• Own the roadmap for Edge AI solution integration, collaborating with ecosystem partners and internal teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
• Guide technical pre-sales activities, including feasibility studies, RFIs/RFPs/RFQs, and customer proposal preparation.
• Define, communicate, and promote product specifications that align with customer use cases and market trends.
• Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute product launches, training sessions, and promotional campaigns.
• Partner closely with sales teams to support customer engagements, enhance solution selling, and close strategic deals.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key clients and partners to support long-term growth.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams-including application engineering, procurement, quality, and manufacturing-to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage the product lifecycle, including phase-in/phase-out processes, product updates, and database accuracy.
• Collaborate with global teams, especially Taiwan and China counterparts, on development and execution efforts (some evening meetings required).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (Master's degree a plus).
• 12+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or project management within the PC, embedded, or hardware industry.
• Proven experience defining and managing x86-based product specifications.
• Strong technical understanding of computing hardware, including CPUs, chipsets, and board-level components.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning product strategy with business goals.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a passion for delivering innovative solutions.
• Experience with international collaboration and working across time zones is preferred.

Travel:

• 10-15% of travel per year (trade shows, customer visits, etc.)
