Employment Law Litigation Associate

Join our prestigious law firm with offices in Irvine, San Diego, and San Francisco, specializing in labor and employment law. This role focuses on handling complex wage-hour class action claims and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) cases. As a Litigation Associate, you will lead cases from inception to resolution, offering a unique opportunity to develop under the mentorship of experienced partners within a collaborative atmosphere that prioritizes professional growth and work-life balance. This hybrid role requires on-site presence 2-3 days a week, encouraging flexibility and promoting a balanced approach to high-performance legal practice.

Salary: $220,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive management of California wage-hour class action claims and PAGA cases.
  • Draft and respond to discovery, initial pleadings, motions, and other pertinent legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions as a primary representative of the firm.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and represent clients effectively in court.
  • Collaborate with a team on multiple overlapping projects, ensuring precise execution and adherence to timelines.
  • Develop strategies and legal arguments for a successful outcome in complex cases.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in employment litigation, particularly in wage and hour disputes.
  • Must be an active member of the California State Bar.
  • Proven track record of managing complex cases independently.
  • Strong academic credentials and a history of professional achievements in law.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading class/collective action litigation preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and resolving high-stake disputes.
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
