Cimarron is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties:
- Build, configure, deploy, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers and systems.
- Research technologies and apply optimization techniques to ensure efficient system operations.
- Perform physical inspections and use system/event logs and tools to identify problems, trends, and aid in troubleshooting efforts.
- Assist integration managers with problem definition and root cause analysis.
- Perform vulnerability remediation and mitigation, including operating system hardening and STIG compliance.
- Provide timely updates to team leads, managers, and stakeholders on task statuses and troubleshooting efforts.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external team members and customers.
- Identify and report developer-documentation errors to the appropriate personnel for correction.
- Use the REMEDY ticketing system to report, track, and document problem and resolution life-cycle actions.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Ability to support occasional off-shift, extended, or weekend support.
- 5 or more years of related experience in business systems, operating systems, and servers and/or experience in light programming, troubleshooting, and project management of small initiatives.
- Experience building, configuring, and deploying servers/systems using VMware.
- Administration and troubleshooting experience on RHEL 7 and 8 using the Command Line Interface.
- Current DoD-approved 8570 Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- High School diploma or equivalent and 8 or more years of experience, Associate degree and 6 or more years of experience, or Bachelor's degree (or higher).
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience working with Ansible automation.
- Experience configuring and managing network storage devices.
- Network troubleshooting experience.
- Experience implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) methodologies.
- Experience with HP server hardware.
- Knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems, and MDIOC operations.
- Degree in an IT or Engineering-related discipline.
