Job Description: As a member of a 12-hr patient access service, the System Flow Coordinator is responsible for patient flow; to facilitate appropriate access to safe patient care. This will include coordination and accountability for decision making with respects to consultation, placement and movement of patients within and outside of tertiary acute care. The System Flow Coordinator will function as an integral member of an acute care team whose collective responsibility will include access to and movement through resources across the continuum, and to other health facilities. The System Flow Coordinator provides access to consultation with physicians, patients, families, nurses and support staff. During off-hours the System Flow Coordinator will function as a management representative with respect to problem solving and communication.

- 5 years recent experience in a medical, surgical, critical care or ER dept
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
