IHMVCU is member-focused and dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering financial well-being for our community. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team.

Regional candidates will have access to our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility. This role is also open to remote candidates in select states.

Summary of Position:

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the updating of financial management applications, ensure regulatory compliance, publish management reports, and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial reporting and analysis. You will report to the VP of Finance, collaborate with various team members across the organization and foster team development and career progression within the finance team. You will bring a strong background in financial management within the financial services industry, excellent analytical skills and a commitment to the credit union's mission of member service and community support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights to management
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis
  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and preparation of quarterly regulatory reporting (e.g., NCUA Call Report)
  • Financial Planning & Strategy: Support senior leadership by providing financial data, insights related to identified trends, risks and opportunities, and various analyses (e.g., profitability, peer and scenario)
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the finance team by developing training programs and creating opportunities that foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems for enhanced performance, greater efficiency and reduced costs
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support overall organizational objectives.
  • Auditor Interaction: Respond to auditor and examiner inquiries as directed by management.


Qualifications:

  • 4-year College Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive finance experience within a credit union or banking environment
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting
  • At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong fluency with software models - Asset Liability Management (ProfitStars), CECL (Abrigo) or others
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, and other financial analytic tools; SQL and/or Power BI experience.
  • Familiar with financial regulations and standards, particularly those governing credit unions (e.g. NCUA)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to senior management and stakeholders
