Position SummaryAs a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Empower, you will design, deploy, and manage resilient on-prem and cloud infrastructure solutions that align with the company's strategic objectives and security standards. Your role will drive innovation across healthcare solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence while collaborating with stakeholders to implement cutting-edge technologies and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Engineers and implements on-prem and cloud infrastructure solutions, leveraging virtual environments such as Virtual Machine Ware (VMware), Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Azure systems, and services that align with IT and security standards.
• Ensures compliance with infrastructure policies, procedures, and CFR part 11 regulations while maintaining business continuity and security standards.
• Monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes infrastructure performance, and plan long-term roadmaps for improvement.
• Provides technical guidance to the IT team, design and deploy infrastructure initiatives, and manage system upgrades and maintenance, including virtual servers and VDI environments.
• Manages patches and update deployment to all servers, network equipment, end user workstations and 3rd party applications.
• Maintains server and security audits, system backup procedures and other recovery processes in accordance with Empowers disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Knowledge And Skills

• Proven experience in infrastructure design and implementation for scalability, including virtualization technologies (VMware, Virtual Apps, and Desktops) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Strong technical leadership in a large enterprise environment, with expertise in networking, storage, Microsoft and AWS cloud services, and integrating disparate systems during mergers and acquisitions.

Experience and Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineering role: designing and building virtual environments, on-prem and in the cloud.
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent quantitative field experience is required.

CCNA, VMWare Certified Professional, ITIL, AWS or Azure Associate, CompTIA Server+ certifications preferred.
