Job Description:

This position is duration based and will last 18 months.

The Director, Service Innovation & Adoption will play a critical role in partnering across the organization in support of the Technology Services (TS) strategy to accelerate innovative technologies, mature their capabilities, services, and products, and drive the consumption and adoption of its services. This role will also lead organizational readiness (strategy and execution) and transformation management for business-critical technical priorities and programs. This position will be located in Raritan, NJ.

For the service adoption component of the role, the leader will be part of the team responsible for implementing the Service Industrialization (SI) ways of working, partnering closely with the core SI team and service owners to support the ongoing development and maturity of the TS Service Catalog program, as well as the continued adoption of the SI operating model across TS.

In support of our focus to leverage innovative and emerging technologies, the role will also support the AI/GenAI team and programs. In this rapidly evolving space, the role will promote awareness and adherence to J&J AI/GenAI governance practices, collaboration across Technology, as well as develop and support the execution of a comprehensive cross-functional strategy to promote the AI/GenAI roadmap and capabilities - to accelerate adoption of AI/GenAI services across J&J (and thought leadership externally). The leader will work across TS to improve amplification of other TS innovative capabilities and services via channels including the new CTO podcast and TS impact reporting.

For the organizational readiness and transformation management component of the role, the leader will manage Technology Services' technical programs for Network & Infrastructure, Cloud, and APDR functions, as well as Enterprise Observability. The leader will play a key role in preparing the organization for new and existing technological initiatives in those functions, ensuring employees are ready and equipped to adapt to new processes, systems, and structures. This role will collaborate across functions to assess readiness, implement effective transformation strategies, and support TS employees throughout transitions.

The successful candidate should have a deep understanding of technology strategy and experience navigating in a cross-functional global organization, relationship management, influencing at all levels, business process improvement, change enablement, and have a proven record of driving business outcomes. As this role will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of a diverse set of communications and change-management for Technology Services technical programs, the candidate should also have experience executing high-impact internal and external communications strategies, events, and executive-level presentations. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to distill highly complex and disparate information (often financial and technical) into easy-to-understand strategies and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Industrialization Op Model and Catalog Role Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Service Catalog team to implement the TS Service Catalog in alignment with TS priorities, goals, and objectives.
  • Lead Service Catalog content strategy and implementation for all releases, requiring collaboration with TS service owners and extended service catalog teams.
  • Develop proactive and strategic communication and change management approaches to promote the value of the catalog, inspire usage within TS, business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Partner with core Service Catalog team on catalog metrics, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Continue delivering messaging and content that amplifies the value of Service Industrialization and supports adoption of the Service Industrialization operating model across TS.


AI/GenAI Team and Program Role Responsibilities:
  • Partner across Technology to develop and implement a strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and adherence to J&J AI/GenAI governance, usage guidelines, and guiding principles.
  • Shape, lead, and execute against a comprehensive cross-functional strategy to promote and provide broader visibility into the AI/GenAI roadmap and capabilities - to accelerate adoption of AI/GenAI services across J&J (and thought leadership externally) - work collaboratively to design and implement thought leadership platforms.
  • Work with AI/GenAI leadership to ensure consistent information flow within AI/GENAI teams and with TS and other key partners/stakeholders.
  • Support leadership in communicating AI/GenAI strategy, initiatives, and progress to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead promotional campaign for TS AI/GENAI key program launches and updates.
  • Collaborate with the core TS AI/GenAI team and BT partners to align priority AI/GenAI initiatives for Technology, roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop database of targeted prospective users for TS AI/GENAI capabilities, market them, and drive usage among them.


Organizational Readiness and Transformation Management Role Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Technology Services Leadership Team to develop communication strategies for technical programs in Network & Infrastructure, Cloud, APDR, and Observability for successful transitions to new service offerings, expanded capabilities and/or product features.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to facilitate organizational transitions in those functional areas.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to understand change impacts and successfully enable change.
  • Track change initiatives against established performance metrics and KPIs and assess the effectiveness of change strategies, adjusting as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of change management processes and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports for leadership that summarize change management activities and results.


Support the cultivation of an environment conducive to future-ready Technology Services
  • Effectively motivate, challenge, and inspire TS teams and stakeholders.
  • Clearly articulate key messages that support operating model transformation and culture change.
  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships, ensuring the business leadership team is aligned and are true ambassadors for TS.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field.
  • Technology and/or health care industry experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies.


Experience and Skills:

Required:
  • Minimum of 15 years of business functional experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years of people-management experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years driving organizational transformations, technology implementations, communications and change management strategies and initiatives for large, complex, and highly cross-functional organizations.
  • A passion and a proven track record in leading technology adoption transformations, achieving sustainable high impact.
  • Outstanding relationship and communication skills, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Understanding of and experience with developing technical services and products to market in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player, able to interact and lead at various levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficient at prioritizing in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience and understanding of key business processes, technical/systems landscape, overall trends, key solutions, and issues. Knowledge of relevant systems. and functional methods for measuring and developing impact analyses for a wide range of communications programs.
  • Strong relationship building skills, able to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in translating and implementing vision and strategies into meaningful plans for the business.
  • Excellent program management skills.
  • Building a strong network of senior leaders and collaboration across the enterprise will be important to the success in this role.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $146,000- $251,850

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
