Includes providing strategic analyses and product/pricing recommendations for core deposits in support of key LOB stakeholders and their initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains and supports an enterprise wide governance process for the pricing of customer deposits, including providing strategic insights and helping to implement pricing strategies on both standard and exception deposit products.
- Responsible for on-going management of the Company's wholesale funding portfolios (e.g., Brokered Deposits, FHLB borrowings, etc.) and cash position, with accountability to the ALCO for the funding and liquidity processes.
- Expected to lead the Deposit Pricing Committee, which focuses on supporting a well coordinated and effective core deposit effort across the company's LOBs.
- Through both internal analyses as well as broader market intelligence, helps identify opportunities across portfolios to increase shareholder value and support interest and fee-based deposit products, including consumer, commercial, and TM products.
- Expected to provide thought leadership over the bank's risk management programs, particularly as it relates to liquidity and deposit-related regulations. Likely to serve in various capacities for liquidity and deposit-related committees.
- Responsible for managing certain external relationships, including those with various wholesale funding partners and deposit analytics vendors, all in support of performing the roles and responsibilities of the position.
- Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports. Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the company. Works closely with Human Resources regarding employee relations, compensation, training, posting and filling vacant positions and other Human Resources related matters.
- Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
- Performs other related duties within Corporate Treasury, as required.

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field OR an equivalent amount of additional experience in related fields.
Minimum Experience:
- 8 years of experience in banking or finance, in roles directly related to customer deposit strategies and managing deposit portfolios. Should include three years experience in managing teams in this capacity.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Broad and deep knowledge of, and experience in: deposit product development, deposit behaviors and pricing, wholesale funding markets, and bank liquidity frameworks.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency using enterprise planning systems, pricing models, Excel, etc.
- Expertise in a variety of banking concepts, practices and procedures, such as those related to funds transfer pricing and behavioral deposit modeling.
- Strong skill set translating complex business requirements into solutions that meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
- Skill communicating with executive management to understand requirements and set priorities.
- Excellent organizational and team management skills.
- Skill leading, motivating and directing a team toward common goals while meeting all deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including an ability to influence people to move toward collective organizational goals.
- Skill in effectively communicating financial results, both verbally and through reports, and presentations to leadership.
