Description

As the Medical Director you will be responsible for the support of the medical team related to addiction medicine and MAT.

Essential Duties Include:
  • Patient Care
    • Responsible for maintaining the quality of medical care within the treatment center. Shall have the authority to intervene in the medical care of any patient in the interest of the patient and to maintain the professional standards of the facility.
  • Leadership
    • Support medical teams related to addiction medicine and MAT.
    • Participate in MAT Committee meetings and activities.
    • Participate in Quality Committee meetings.
    • Support peer review processes.
    • Provide Trainings.
    • Participate in speaking engagements as mutually agreed upon.
  • Documentation
    • Documents all patient services provided including; physical examinations, comprehensive medical histories, medical orders, follow-up examinations, discharge physical examinations and discharge summaries, maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Other
    • Ability to converse in English with others to give, take and process information; extensive use of telephone.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an approved medical school.
  • M.D. / O.D. Degree.
  • Fellowship training as needed.
  • License in good standing to practice medicine in the State of Arizona and State of California.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in addiction medicine.
  • Must have a DEA number with a Buprenorphine certification.
  • CPR and CPI Certified
  • Five years previous experience in a like treatment setting preferred.
  • Experience with Medical Addition Treatment (MAT)
  • Five years work experience with patient population served preferred.
  • Meets active staff credentialing requirements.
