Position Overview:
Please Note: While this position is listed as hybrid, regular in-office attendance is required. Candidates should be prepared to commute to the office on a consistent basis to support team collaboration and business needs.
Performs a variety of specialized and/or complex accounting functions for fixed assets accounting and capital management. Maintains, reconciles, and analyzes general ledger and accounts, finance leases, and prepares complex transactions and journal entries, requiring a deep understanding of the business or program. Executes the financial close process, and prepares financial statements and complex reports. Prepares schedules for audits and tax filings, and researches and resolves accounting discrepancies. Perform quality reviews of accounting transactions and processes, and provides training and guidance to team members as necessary.

Pay Range is $40.25 to $60.38 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Description:
EDUCATION:

- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administration, or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of recent relevant experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of finance leases
- Understanding of construction capitalization
- Experience with depreciation budgeting
- Ability to manage and analyze large data sets in Excel
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Deep working knowledge of basic principles and methods of accounting, auditing and financial reporting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Deep working knowledge of accounting and/or finance operations for a particular function, line of business or program.
- Ability to maintain and balance a variety of highly complex financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
- Ability to compute and apply basic mathematical functions and computations, including percentages, decimals and prorated amounts.
- Ability to translate financial data into reports and presentations for appropriate audience.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to recognize, research and resolve questionable data.
- Organization skills and attention to details.
- Displays a customer service focus in all decisions and actions.
- Ability to prioritize workload to complete assignments accurately and timely, and to meet strict timelines.
- Ability to read, comprehend, interpret and apply policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ability to communicate through verbal and written means.
- Ability to interact and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
