POSITION SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, the Electrical Designer will support work at the Wynnewood facility by designing and developing electrical drawings and documentation in accordance with site standards, codes, and applicable industry regulations. The role requires close coordination with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant designs. All completed work will be reviewed by senior staff members to ensure accuracy and alignment with refinery expectations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree or vocational training preferred.
- Electrical Journeyman license required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years experience in specific area of refinery electrical projects, construction, or maintenance
- Familiarity with plant safety requirements and best practices for working in hazardous areas
- Proficient in AutoCAD for creating and modifying electrical design packages
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards.
- Excellent listening and interpretation skills to incorporate feedback and technical requirements into design work
- Ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry, service request processing, and documentation
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written; must be able to give and receive technical instructions
- Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to meet project and refinery demands
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and revise electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and site layouts according to refinery standards and the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Check all design work for accuracy and compliance with codes and internal standards
- Participate in field data collection, equipment verification, and walkdowns
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
- Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding project status, issues, and deliverables
- Champion safe design practices and foster teamwork within the department and across disciplines
- Support the adoption of new technologies and cost-effective design practices to enhance reliability
- Fosters an atmosphere for personal achievement and teamwork both within and outside the Department;
- Champion new, innovative and visionary technologies that are cost effective and value driven to meet the competitive needs of the Refinery;
