Job Summary:
The Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, Maine is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dedicated Anesthesia Service team. As a CRNA, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to our nation's Veterans in a variety of clinical settings, including surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.

Job Summary:
The Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, Maine is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dedicated Anesthesia Service team. As a CRNA, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care to our nation's Veterans in a variety of clinical settings, including surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia for various types of surgical procedures and pain management interventions under the supervision of or in collaboration with anesthesiologists.
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and formulate appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Monitor patients during procedures and adjust anesthesia as needed to ensure safety and comfort.
- Provide post-anesthesia care, including recovery evaluation and management of complications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Document all aspects of patient care in accordance with VA policies and procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Must be able to successfully complete the AMI Credentialing Process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
Education & Experience:
- Active CRNA license
- BLS and ACLS
- 2 years recent experience
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a safe manner following all safety rules and regulations. Must work as a team member to improve safety culture and quality.
- Read and follow instructions. Demonstrate safe work behavior.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
