We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist 4 to lead high-level sourcing and supplier management activities across local, regional, and global projects. This role involves executing strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating complex contracts, implementing cost-saving measures, and managing supplier relationships in alignment with broader commodity and procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in strategic sourcing within a global organization, strong commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of component manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies, define award recommendations, and prepare sourcing board approvals in alignment with global commodity strategies.
- Negotiate multi-site, regional, and local contracts, including price, delivery, and payment terms.
- Independently manage relationships with assigned suppliers, ensuring alignment with Commodity Managers (CM) and Global Commodity Managers (GCM) when applicable.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, document and implement savings measures, and report on relevant KPIs.
- Assess procurement risks and opportunities, implementing appropriate mitigation or optimization strategies.
- Translate commodity strategies into actionable sourcing plans at local or regional levels, especially for non-pooled commodities and Portfolio/PCC categories.
- Drive supplier performance and accountability in quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure procurement initiatives align with business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of component manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and procurement strategy execution.
- Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in using procurement tools and systems.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across matrixed, global teams.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in direct procurement for global manufacturing operations.
- Additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CPM, CSCP, or CIPS) is preferred.
